On Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 7 PM, the Queen Street Playhouse will host a one-night sneak peek of Luke & Lucy - The Musical, developed by our playwright-in-residence, Thomas Heath, and local composer, Brad Moranz. The event will be a fundraiser for our new lighting board.
Luke & Lucy will be featured in Season One of mini-Musical™, a reality docu-series that explores the stories behind the making and casting of an original TV musical. Heath created the musical to empower teenagers worldwide to embrace their self-worth.
The show highlights the daily struggles that adolescents face, including battles with anxiety, depression, and toxic relationships.
As for the series, mini-Musical™ is a twelve-episode casting competition in which thousands of young triple-threat performers (act/sing/dance), ages 15-25, compete for one of only four roles in Luke & Lucy (think “American Idol meets Musical Theater”)
The series will document the triumphs and tragedies of these Broadway-caliber talents, culminating with the four winners performing live on stage in New York City for the world premiere, which will be streamed globally.
The sneak peek event on February 28 includes an album listening experience, clips from the pilot, live performances from Luke & Lucy, and a Q&A session with the creators.
Tickets for this one-night-only event are $50 for general admission, $25 for students, and $100 for the VIP reception to meet the performers and creators, with 100% of sales supporting the performers and the purchase of a lighting board for the theater.
We are especially encouraging young people to attend (half-price for students) and share their thoughts on the experience at our TikTok booth after the show!
