Dean is a food writer and culinary educator who explores how Japanese cuisine can be practiced and shared beyond its traditional context. With years of culinary training and restaurant management experience in both Japan and the United States—and more than fifteen years advising restaurants on concept development, menu design, and staff training—he brings a deep understanding of authentic Japanese flavors and how they translate into everyday kitchens.
