Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence with a special Revolutionary War focused tour of the Heyward-Washington House with Chief of Education Elise Reagan.

Hear about the original owner of the home and signer of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Heyward, Jr.’s, experience during the American Revolution. See Museum pieces in the house related to other South Carolina patriots, such as Christopher Gadsden, and hear about the role of enslaved people and women during the war. 

Reservations preferred.  Walk-ins accommodated as space allows, on a first-come, first-served basis.
