2025 Theme: "HARMONY"
Public Works Art Center invites the community to take part in the Sixth-Annual SPARK Exhibition.
—
This exhibition exists to “ignite the spark” of creativity in participants and viewers, and all were welcome to take part. Submissions are closed this year, but please be on the lookout for next year! One piece per person, regardless of age or background, will be accepted provided it follows the appropriate criteria. This year’s theme is “Harmony,” and we are thrilled to see the work that comes from this theme.
SPARK is a themed exhibition comprised of three parts: an invitational component in our largest gallery (The West Gallery), an open-to-all community portion in the adjacent gallery (The East Gallery) and a youth section in our downstairs gallery (The South Gallery). While all invitational artists are selected, the Community and Youth portions are open to all who would like to submit work no matter their age or level of experience. There is no “judging” or “jurying” in a piece for the Spark Community Exhibitions, ALL submissions are accepted.
This year, the exhibition runs from September 12 – November 15. The reception for this exhibition will be September 13 from 10 am – 1 pm on the day of our annual Block Party. We strongly encourage you to come out to the Block Party to celebrate your work along with all of the other artists and just enjoy the Block Party (which is free for everyone to enjoy!)
