As per the February 19, 2026 article in the Post & Courier entitled Advocacy groups sue over National Parks exhibit removals, citing Fort Sumter by Anna Sharpe and Lydia Larsen, regarding the lawsuit filed against the National Park Service (NPS) and the US Department of the Interior: Silence Is Not An Option (SINO) Speaker's Series presents Alan Spears, Washington, DC, spokesman for the suit’s primary filer, The National Parks Conservation Association, along with Michael Allen, NPS, retired architect of the Gullah Geechee Heritage Corridor. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Michael Lee, Director of the CofC Civility Initiative.
