From a $1.3 billion Battery Extension to restoring historic brick arches beneath Charleston's streets to drainage improvements in West Ashley and James Island, the Army Corps and City of Charleston are partnering on several projects aimed at addressing flooding across the city. But what do these projects mean for your neighborhood?
Doors open at 5:00 PM, and city and Army Corps staff will be on hand to answer your questions about flood mitigation projects across the city. Then, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Cogswell and Mainwaring will join Rising Waters reporters Jonah Chester and Lydia Larsen for a discussion on how the Army Corps and Charleston plan to keep the Holy City safe as the waters rise.
