Description

Rancho Lewis honors its south-of-the-border roots with a vibrant and colorful celebration of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a joyful tradition of life and remembrance, from October 4 - November 2.

The Mexican tradition of Day of the Dead is a traditional celebration where families create altars, light candles and enjoy celebratory foods to welcome back the spirits of departed loved ones. Rancho Lewis welcomes the Charleston community to join in altar decorating, a candlelight procession, Dia de Los Muertos brunch, and daily special menu items for the season.

Saturday, Oct. 4, 3 - 5:30 pm - Dia De Los Muertos Altar Decorating Pop-In - The community is invited to add to the Rancho Lewis altar with photos or offerings honoring loved ones while enjoying free Mexican Hot Chocolate and Pan Dulce (sweet bread).  A photo printer will be available so guests can access to print photos from their phones to add to the altar.

Saturday, Nov. 1, 6 - 6:30 pm - Candlelight Procession – Join the Rancho Lewis team for a traditional candlelight procession to honor loved ones who have passed and then stay to toast the special holiday with cocktail specials. Free and open to the public.

Sunday, Nov. 2, 11 am - 3 pm - Dia de Los Muertos Brunch - Bring family and friends to mark the day with traditional Mexican dishes honoring loved ones and ancestors.
