Join Tucson based artist and educator Jesse Hinson for a project-based introduction to bookbinding. This workshop will guide participants through the basics of terminology, tools, and assembly of a 3-hole pamphlet stitch book and how to make a simple “paper bag” cover. Not only will students leave with a completed, covered book, but they will be provided with a step-by-step guide on how to make more of their own at home using affordable or repurposed/recycled materials. No experience is necessary and all materials are provided. Feel free to bring any stamps or stickers you may wish to include for your book covers!
