Local artist and author Audrey Straus will host a watercolor class and book signing inspired by her book, “Native Plants of Kiawah Island,” on Saturday, May 2, at 10 a.m. at the Treehouse Activity Center in Night Heron Park at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

The event begins with a guided watercolor class, followed by an 11 a.m. book signing. Guests will paint native plants featured in the book while learning about the Lowcountry’s natural landscape. Tickets are $100 and include all materials, beverages, a signed copy of the book and finished artwork to take home.
