Machine Quilting Saturday, February 21 10:30am-1:30pm
Don't be afraid! You can learn to machine quilt! After this class, you will be able to get all those quilt tops you've made quilted and ready to use and admire. You will learn to use your walking foot and how to do free motion quilting - hurray!

SUPPLIES:
Sewing Machine - You must be able to drop your feed dogs and have a good working knowledge of your machine. This will not be a good time to learn how your machine works.
Machine Instruction book - the book that came with your machine that tells how it works, just in case you have trouble with your machine during class.
Walking foot
Free motion foot
2 18" squares of muslin which have been washed and dried and ironed (the size is not crucial - close is good enough)
1 18" square of COTTON batting
A spool of thread in any color that will contrast well with the muslin (red, blue, green - just not white or beige). Please bring good quality thread.
2 bobbins full of a color thread that will contrast with the spool above (if you are using red in the spool for example, then maybe blue in the bobbin). Use same weight as in spool of thread above.
Disappearing pen
Pencil
Scrap paper large enough to doodle on
Basting pins (safety pins)
Gloves - they make special gloves for free motion quilting - if you have them, bring them, but you do not need to buy them to take the class.
Acrylic Table - If you have a table that came with your machine to increase the size of the bed, bring it if you want to.
If you are a person that does not like to sew with your shoes on, feel free to bring slippers or sew in your socks.
