Charleston Crafts Gallery, an artist-owned cooperative in the heart of downtown Charleston, is pleased to present its July exhibition, Kaleidoscope of Color , which opens with a public reception on Friday, August 7th, from 5pm to 8pm.

Celebrating the vibrant colors and diversity of creative expression, Kaleidoscope of Color presents works in fused glass, wearable and decorative fibers, artisanal soaps and origami papers.

Featuring original work by the gallery’s member artists, the exhibition showcases contemporary fine craft by skilled South Carolina artists across a broad spectrum of media.

Featured artists include:

Lynne Gettelfinger — a fiber artist recognized for richly layered art quilts and one-of-a-kind textile accessories. Inspired by the ocean and coastal life, she combines hand-dyed and commercial fabrics through raw-edge appliqué and detailed stitching techniques. Keller Lee — a fused glass artist for over 20 years, he creates windchimes, night lights, candle holders, even glass bowties to capture light, color, and joy.

Amanda Mazza — a soap-maker creating all-natural handmade soaps inspired by the textures, colors, and scents of the natural world. She approaches soap-making as both science and art, transforming everyday rituals into thoughtful experiences. Regina Semko — a paper artist who creates intricate sculptures and decorative works using traditional origami techniques and patterned papers.

Nancy Warren — a fiber artist creating handwoven scarves, jewelry, and textile work that explores texture, color, and structure through both traditional and experimental techniques.

The artists of Kaleidoscope of Color present a collection capturing the vivid experience of light, vision and expression through contemporary fine craft.
