The Chophouse Band began in 1992 when Grammy Award winning, Hall of Fame bassist Jason Newsted founded Chophouse Records Studio in Walnut Creek, CA

Following the success of Metallica’s 1991 “Black Album”

The Chophouse Studio was created to assemble local and global musicians, friends and other comrades from established acts.., to have a special place to enjoy; chasing ideas and sounds.., Laughing and having fun, playing wild and pure compositions on breaks and downtime, mixing up wicked musical soup, worlds away from touring schedules and agendas.

Now, after 30+ years of playing host to an incredible array of talent within our private studio walls..,

The Chophouse Band is offering a live sampling of these musical flavors to be shared around the globe. Focused on philanthropy, Newsted & Co. frequently perform to benefit youth music & arts, veteran’s relief, and other community programs.

Based in Jupiter, FL, and Skaneateles, NY,
