Celebrate the 4th of July holiday by visiting the house of a signer of the Declaration of Independence! Get hands-on with Revolutionary history at special stations: roll beeswax into candles, see and touch objects from the Revolutionary period, learn to roll a cartridge like Patriot soldiers, sign a copy of the Declaration of Independence, and learn to pound rice. This special event in honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence is free with admission to the Heyward-Washington House and free for Museum Members.
