Lowcountry Maritime School will host their Spring Boat Launch at Colonial Lake on Friday, May 9th!  From 10:00 AM-3:00 PM, students from four different schools will launch their 12′ wooden rowboats they built over the course of this past year.  This fun event is the culmination of their year-long STEM project in which students worked together to construct their own functional rowboat.  They will launch 14 boats with nearly 100 students at this exciting event!

From 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM we invite you to join us on one of the Lowcountry Maritime School’s boats and take a cruise around Colonial Lake! We’ll also have opportunities learn more about the Charleston Parks Conservancy and the work we’re doing around Colonial Lake and the surrounding communities.

No advance registration required, walk ups are welcome!
